LGBTQ+ MENTAL HEALTH initiative
The LGBTQ+ Mental Health Initiative provides free mental health resources to LGBTQ+ migrants detained throughout the United States.
This program provides participants with the following:
1. Journal
2. Packet of resources including:
- Information on common struggles people face while detained, and coping skills centered on resilience
- Exercises intended to help people get to know themselves better, building self-knowledge and empathy
- Educational materials on sexual orientation and gender identity, intended to help people understand their own identities
